Chasing the Northern Lights in Iceland

Few sights compare to the aurora dancing over a snow-dusted Icelandic landscape. While nature never guarantees a show, a little planning stacks the odds in your favour.

Best time for the aurora

The Northern Lights season runs from late September to March, when the nights are long and dark. Clear skies and low light pollution matter more than deep cold, so we build free evenings into every itinerary for aurora hunting.

Beyond the lights

  • The Golden Circle: Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir
  • The black sand beach at Reynisfjara
  • A soak in the Blue Lagoon before your flight home

Our Iceland Ring Road package covers the highlights in six days, with optional add-ons for Northern Lights tours and the Blue Lagoon.
